1: Most people are wearing simple skeleton masks, however there are some people who are other costumes like a cowboy, Zorro, an astronaut, and there is even someone dressed up as El Patron. This is the one that Matt recognizes and it shocks him because it looks so real. 2: When the kids are fighting Sister Inez tries to break it up, but they keep fighting until finally Dona Esperenza, Maria's mother, comes and breaks up the fight. 3: The Aztlan police discovered that the Keepers are illegally getting laudanum from Opium, and taking it. The trade and use of any Opium products in Aztlan is illegal so the Keepers are in a lot of trouble. 4: Maria is responsible for the shriek at the end of the chapter. She sees Matt and is so excited and relieved because she thought that he was dead.
1. Matt notices a lot of skeleton masks and cowboys. There was also an astronaut. However, one costume really stands out to Matt. This costume is of El Patron. 2. During the fight between the Keepers and the kids, a nun named Sister Inez tries to break up the fight but is unsuccessful. Dona Esperenza ends up breaking up the fight. 3. The Aztlan police force discover that the Keepers have been using and trading laudanum. However, laudanum is illegal in Aztlan so the Keepers will be arrested after taking a drug test. 4. Maria is responsible at the end of the chapter. However, Maria is very excited and happy to see Matt because she thought he was being used for El Patron's implants.
