ReplyDelete2) he is turning 143. He is acting strange, the reason that he is acting strange is because he keeps asking am I dead yet.
3) the thing that Celia tells Matt is if anything bad happens come to her in the kitchen.furtive means that she looked around the room carefully to see if anyone was listing or if anyone was watching.
4) what happens with them is that Tom put furball in the tollett and then he acted like he didn't do it. I think that this is cruel because that the dog is so insistent and so harmless that it would hurt a fly. Also if Tom was think that he wanted to annoy or worry Maria he should do it without the use of the dog .
5) MACGREGOR is another drug lord. I think that he is a little strange the reason that I think this is because he is always a little wierd of what he is bringing up when talking to people.
6) the state of el patrons health is very good. The reason of this is because he got a new set of doctors. These doctors are some of the best in the world.
7) the comment was the old vampire. So he managed to crawl out of the coffin again.
8) the reason the audience looks board is because he tells this story every year at his party's so they hear it every year so they practically now it off by heart.

ReplyDelete2: El Patron is turning 143 years old. According to Matt, El Patron is acting very strange. he keeps on saying "Am I dead yet" to himself.
3: She told Matt that if anything bad happens, to come to her in the kitchen. To look around furtively, means to look around surreptitiously or by stealth.
4: Tom put Furball in the toilet and closed the lid. I think that it was a very spiteful and evil thing to do. Neither Maria nor Furball did anything to Tom, yet he did it anyways.
5: Mr MacGregor is El Patrons friend. He is apparently a "farmer" which means he grows opium so really he is a drug lord. he sort of reminds me of El Patron; sly and quick witted especially for an old person.
6: El Patron is doing better than usual. He is even able to walk for a little bit.
7: The comment is "The old vampire. So he managed to crawl out of the coffin again."
8: The audience is bored when El Patron is talking because apparently he has the same birthday speech every year and everyone has already heard it time and time again.

ReplyDelete2. El Patrón turned 143, and Matt was worried about how El Patrón would act, because his last visit he kept asking himself “Am I dead yet?” over and over.
3. She tells Matt to come and find her in the kitchen if anything bad happens, and she will help him deal with it. The word furtive means to avoid attention, or to go unnoticed.
4. Tom dumped Furball in the toilet, and closed the lid on top of him. I think that was an incredibly awful thing to do, and what Tom has no good reason to do those kind of things to María, because she has done nothing to him.
5. Mr. MacGregor is another farmer, who probably grows opium, and is friends with El Patrón. I don’t think he is going to be a nice person, just because it is hard to find nice people with that much money and power.
6. Well, he is doing fairly well because he is able to walk. He does have some of the best doctors in the world who are taking care of him.
7. He heard someone behind him say "The old vampire. So he managed to crawl out of his coffin again.”
8. The audience is not interested in his story because he tells it all the time, and by now they are just sick of it.

6. His state is good and he is happy because since he is so rich and has lots of power the best doctors in mexico looking out for him.

ReplyDelete2. El Patrón is 143 years old. El Patrón is forgetting things I think El Patrón is get dementia or alzimeres. The one question he keeps asking is “Am I dead yet?” (El Patrón,93)
3. Celia told Matt if anything bad happened to go straight to her in the kitchen. The definition of furtive is attempting to avoid notice or attention, typically because of guilt or a belief that discovery would lead to trouble; secretive.
4. Maria lost Furball so Tom, Matt and Maria were looking for him then Matt found him in the toilet with the lid closed. I think Matt did this to Furball because the book says that as Tom walked away Matt saw a flash of anger on his face. It was like Tom wanted something to happen.
5. Mr. MacGregor he owns a farm near San Diego and has had the same miracle treatment that El Patrón had. I think Mr. MacGregor is kind of strange and creepy.
6. He is doing well because he was able to walk for a little bit at the beggening but then he had to sit in his wheelchair. He does have the best doctors in all of Mexico which would make things better.

8. They are board because they had heard the story he was telling many times before.

ReplyDelete2. He is turning 143 and he is acting very strange and awkward. He keeps on asking " am i dead yet?"
3. Celia tells Matt that if anythign happens bad tonight to come and get her in the pantry behind the kitchen making food for the party.
4. Maria and Matt go back to Maria's room to get Furball but they cant find him. Tom is there and they all start looking to find Furball but Matt notices that Tom isn't looking very hard to find him. Matt hears a sound coming from the washroom which he quickly goes there and finds Furball under the set. Matt knows that Tom hid Furball but he was afraid that he said that, no one would believe him so he decided not to say anything.
5. He is one of El Patrons best friends. Maria said that he is a very creepy man and he owns his own farm in San Diego.
6. El Patron is healthier than usually. Matt had never seen him walk before in which he walked instead of being on a wheelchair on his way into the party.
7. "the old vampire, i'm surprised that he manage to crawl out of his coffin again." Matt was very surprised to hear but when he turned around to see who it was, he couldn't tell because of all the people behind him.
8. Matt said that the audience looked very bored. When El Patron had parties, he always said the same speech so people got bored of it.

3. She said, "listen to me darling, if something bad happens tonight, I want you to come straight to me. Come to the pantry behind the kitchen.
4. Furl gets lost then, Matt noticed that tom looked like he was searching for Furball but he wasn't looking that well he was looking at Maria then they find him in the toilet with the lid closed. I think this is crazy and I have no idea why Tom would do that. Then again i am glad they found him because he would have died otherwise
5. Mr. Macgregor was a farmer that is mean, and Maria said that he is creepy.
6. El Patron is in okay condition because he has a very good doctor taking care of him. HE can even walk a little

4. Tom dumps Furball in the toilet than claims that it wasn't him. I think it was obvious that it was Tom because a dog could not have closed the lid on top of itself.
5. Mr. MacGregor is an old farmer that is very mean and grumpy. Maria thinks that he is very creepy.
6. El Patron is in decent condition. He is losing his memory which is understandable considering he is 143 years old.
7. The comment is, "the old vampire to crawl out of the coffin again". The comment was anonymous because Matt doesn't know who said it, but he was very surprised by the statement.
8. The audience during El Patron's speech seemed very bored because they have heard the same speech over and over again year after year.
